Navigating neurodiversity and wellness: How I've learnt to share the load

As many of you know I am still very much in the post discovery phase since my late diagnosis of ADHD, Autism and Peri Menopause and I don’t ever feel I have it all sussed out, but during my journey I’ve built up a bank of useful information I want to share. I’m passionate about helping neurodivergent women navigating late diagnosis of their busy brains - and quite possibly the start of peri/ menopausal journey - and understanding the intrinsic link between them.

Many of you will also know that I often share tips on how to manage stress and overwhelm and this includes learning how to seek help when it is needed. When it came to launching my small business I knew I had to lead by example with this and bring in trusted individuals to support me as I realised my dream.

I work a full time job around my boys, school pick up and family commitments and I will often work in the evenings and weekends as well as manage my own business. My days are pretty full and the thought of finding space to store the boxes, wrapping and precious contents whilst my 5 yr old twin boys try to pull everything out - or starting the assembly line sat at my dining table at 11pm - was my worst nightmare!

So I decided to look out for me and try to create that long sought after balance by delegating the things that take time that I don’t have. If I am going to say this to others I have to follow my own advice!

This decision allows me to put more time into making sure these boxes are what you lovely ladies will benefit from and find ways to improve and embrace a small, family-run business I can support in the process. The attention to detail that is needed to meet my high standards for the boxes was never realistically going to be met without getting other people involved. My time is best spent researching products and sourcing suppliers. I have already built a small team around me and now I extend this to include OS Suffolk.

An important element of my business is a commitment to supporting local businesses.  This is exactly what I have done by working with OS Suffolk. Based in Sudbury they work with other local business and they provide a network for us all to collaborate. Visiting their premises reassured me that I had made the right decision.

Sue and Phil Tetly have similar brand values to me - integrity, inspiration and innovation – and their facilities, technology and attitude along with their friendly and welcoming approach meant I knew my boxes were in safe hands.

OS Suffolk will take each box and hand pack each and every item I have carefully selected for ADHD, autistic and perimenopausal women. Each box will have a personalised letter as well as a postcard that you can personalised so you can gift the boxes too.

OS Suffolk will then despatch each box so they are received by you in a timely manner, but most importantly with that hit of dopamine intact! The process will be smooth and efficient, my stress levels will be managed and the boxes will be taken care of by someone who I know and trust to have my small business safe in their hands. I can't wait for you to feel that excitement of trying out the products for the first time and starting your wellness journey!

All the care that has gone into the boxes will be preserved so so when you open the box and discover that Unwind The Mind Wellness magic it will all be there, every last drop.
